You want to control your smart tv, DVD player, soundbar and another electronic device by using the dish universal remote control. You need to follow some instructions to program your dish remote control to tv by using the dish universal remote control.
If you want to program dish remote as a 2nd remote for controlling receiver, tv, DVD player, Home theatre and other devices. Follow the below steps to pair remote control to tv or other devices.
How to program dish remote to tv
1. Take your dish tv remote control and press on the TV button and hold it until your button light on. If you want to program your remote to other devices, then use the particular device button.
2. After that, you need to enter 3 digits dish universal remote codes according to your selected devices. You need to enter the below codes when you will start the programming your devices.
- You need to enter 0 for programming dish remote to tv. For Example your tv remote codes is 666, then enter on your dish remote 0666 for programming.
- Press 1 for VCR and DVD before three digits universal codes.
- Press 2 for other remaining devices before your 3 digit device universal code.
3. After entering your dish remote codes, press on the # button. After pressing the # button on your remote control, your tv mode button will blink 3 times.
4. After that, you can press on the power button (red button) for testing your dish remote is pairing successfully to your tv or not.
Note: If your dish remote is not working or not connected with your devices, then use another remote code for programming as a 2nd remote.
